Kayla Garza
Associate Dance Director
Kayla Garza is a dance educator at Permian High School, where she works with the JV Panther Paws Dance Team and teaches Dance I & II. She brings over a decade of experience in dance instruction, choreography, and team leadership to the Permian Fine Arts Department.
Mrs. Garza earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Sam Houston State University. During her time there, she performed in various departmental showcases, including the Senior Showcase and Graduate Thesis Concerts. While completing her degree, she also returned to her hometown of Richmond, Texas, to teach at her childhood dance studio, choreographing successful routines for competitions across Texas.
In 2012, she moved to Odessa and founded the dance program at Wilson & Young Middle School. The following year, she joined the Permian High School staff, where she continues to share her passion for dance with students through both instruction and performance leadership. Her work emphasizes strong technique, creativity, and building student confidence both on and off the stage.
